Canon printers come with a pre-installed software called Canon IJ Scan Utility. This software allows you to scan documents from your Canon printer easily. To scan a document using Canon IJ Scan Utility:

1. Open Canon IJ Scan Utility.

2. Place the original document face down on the scanner glass or the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).

3. Select the type of document you are scanning and the scan type.

4. Click Scan.

5. The scanned image will be saved to a location of your choice.

You can also use the Canon IJ Scan Utility to scan over a network or to scan directly to a USB flash drive.
