Connect one end of the USB cable to the printer and the other end to your computer. If your printer does not have a USB port, you may need to connect it to your computer using a parallel port or Ethernet port, depending on the type of printer you have.

Once you have successfully connected your printer to your computer, you will need to install the necessary drivers in order to use the printer. Depending on the type of printer you have, the drivers may be included on a CD that came with the printer or you may need to download them from the printer manufacturer's website. Once the necessary drivers have been downloaded and installed on your computer, you should be able to use the printer.

If you have followed the above steps and your printer still does not work, then you may need to check to make sure that the printer is not disabled in your computer's operating system. To do this, open your computer's control panel, go to the Printers and Faxes section, and make sure that your printer is listed as an active printer. If the printer is listed but does not show as enabled, you will need to right-click on the printer and choose "Enable". Once the printer is enabled, you should be able to use it.
