It was the darkest hour of night when the clouds suddenly rolled in. Darkness descended upon the land and it seemed like even the stars had vanished in the night.

The wind began to pick up, bringing with it a chill and a feeling of dread. In the distance, thunder rumbled and lightning crackled, illuminating the darkness for brief moments in time.

The trees and grass rustled and swayed as the storm grew ever closer. No one was sure what was coming or what would happen when it arrived. Fear and uncertainty began to spread among the inhabitants of the land.

When the storm finally hit, it was like nothing they had ever seen before. Rain pounded the earth, turning everything a grayish hue. Thunder and lightning flashed across the sky without warning.

The storm raged on for hours, seemingly without end. Finally, when the sun began to peek through the clouds, the rain began to let up and the inhabitants emerged from their shelters to find the world changed forever. A thick blanket of fog had settled over the land, obscuring the other side of the horizon.
