Sharing a printer is an important part of any network. It allows users to be able to access the same printer and share resources. The Printer Sharing Options tab allows users to configure these printer sharing settings.

To access the Printer Sharing Options tab, open the Printer Properties window. Go to the General tab, and then click on the Sharing button. This will open the Printer Sharing Options tab.

The Printer Sharing Options tab provides several settings for configuring printer sharing. The first setting is the “Share this printer” option. This allows other computers to access the printer. The second setting is the “Browseable” option. This allows users to browse for the printer on the network. The “Guest access” option allows guest users to connect to the printer. If this option is disabled, guest users will not be able to connect. The “User limit” option allows you to set a limit on the number of users that can access the printer at any one time.

The next group of options relates to print queue management. The “Enable print spooling” option allows print jobs to be stored in the print queue. This allows users to submit multiple jobs, and they will be printed in the order that they are received. The “Number of documents in queue” option allows you to adjust the size of the print queue. The “Print priority” option allows you to set the priority of jobs in the print queue.

The last group of options allows you to configure the security settings for the printer. The “Permit access to” option allows you to set which users and groups can access the printer. The “Permit sending of print jobs from” option allows you to restrict who can submit print jobs to the printer. The “Deny print jobs sent from” option allows you to block specific users and groups from submitting print jobs.

By making use of the Printer Sharing Options tab, you can easily configure printer sharing settings. This tab allows you to control who can access the printer, manage the print queue, and configure security settings. By properly configuring these settings, you can ensure that your printer is properly shared and secure.
