Connecting a shared printer to your computer or laptop is relatively simple as long as you have a few things in order.

The fist step is to make sure you have the correct drivers for the printer installed on your machine. You can usually find these online from the printer manufacturer's website. If you are on a network, you may need to talk with the network administrator to get the required drivers.

Once you have the drivers installed, you will need to find out the name of the printer. This is usually done through the network administrator or someone in IT. Once you have the name, you can go into your computer's printer settings and click on the "Add Printer" option.

Once the add printer window opens, you will need to select the shared printer option. To do this, you will need to enter the network path to the printer. This will look something like "\\\" where the is the name of the network and the is the name of the printer.

After you have entered the network path, you will need to select the appropriate driver for the printer. This can usually be found in the Add Printer window. Finally, you will need to give the printer a name and hit the OK button to complete the connection.

Your computer should now be connected to the shared printer. You will be able to print from any application on your computer to the shared printer.
