It is possible to use a shared printer on another computer. The first step is to make sure that both machines are on the same network, preferably a secure network. Next, the printer must be shared on the computer it is connected to. On the computer you are trying to connect to the printer, open up the Devices and Printers window by pressing the Windows key + R and typing ‘control printers’ in the pop up window. From the menu that appears, choose ‘Add a Printer’. This will bring up a list of available printers. On the list of printers, select ‘Network Printer’ and follow the onscreen prompts to locate the printer you are trying to connect to. Once located, your computer should now be connected to the shared printer and you will be able to access it from your computer.
