Romeo and Juliet, as we all know, is a tragedy written by great playwright William Shakespeare. It is a story of two young lovers whose families are bitter enemies, caught in a circle of hate and death.

The story begins in Verona, Italy, home of the two families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Romeo Montague, the son of an aristocrat, falls in love with Juliet Capulet, the daughter of a wealthy family, at first sight. Despite the family's desire to keep them apart, Romeo and Juliet find a way to be together.

Juliet's family then arrange for her to marry a nobleman, Paris. Desperate to be with Romeo, she turns to the friar for help. He comes up with a plan: she will take a potion that will make her appear to be dead for a few hours. Romeo will then come to the tomb and take her away to Mantua, where they can be married. Unfortunatley, Romeo is unaware of the plan and believing Juliet to be truely dead he kills himself. Juliet wakes to find him dead, and also kills herself out of grief.

The two families, overcome with guilt and sadness, eventually reconcile and remember their loved ones.

The tale of Romeo and Juliet is a timeless classic and its powerful themes of love and death still resonate with readers around the world.
